PUZZLE POST

***PUZZLES PUZZLES PUZZLES PUZZLES and more PUZZLES***

I Decided since my basement ceiling of puzzles is so fascinating to many people, that I would do a post on it! YES indeed you are looking at my ceiling...Since it would be impossible to show off every puzzle on here, I have selected a few or more to share...below is a photo of a puzzle with my older 2 kids with some parts of my M&M collection. At the time this room was the kids play room and I was getting near the end and was asking the M&M company to make M&M puzzles over and over, well wouldn't you know it they finally did as I was on the last strip of the room! But before this I felt I had to make my own puzzle and I did, well not officially! I sent in a picture of my 2 kids with some m&m collection and they made this for me! cute eh? Anyway so this was the kids play room all cute and fun. I had an M&M mural my most very talented brother did for me of M&M guys eating at a hershey bar table etc... This room has since turned into my eldest sons room and the puzzles still remain! The puzzle below is another one posted in this same room I did alot of kids puzzles in there because well I could and though I really don't LIKE doing them believe it or not I like them finished!:) So now, I was convinced by a couple of my dear friends that I should do the rest of the living part of the basement in puzzles....(sigh) I told them if they helped was the ONLY way I would!!! They did, and my brother and sis -n- law did some of the very hard ones. These were fun to do while we had play groups here, and I even had the Church over for puzzle parties to get the ceiling completed! It is not completely finished as I am waiting on my dear husband to finish the wood strips in between the puzzles, BUT the puzzles are completely finished!!! YEAH!

As I was telling you, The company really
pulled through for me, and I own them all now! The one below is the latest one and hardest they have made in my opinion!
This particular puzzle was a NIGHTMARE!
I love to look at the hard ones but NOT DO
Them! There was like 7 peoples hands in this one
They all fit and looked good together even if it wasn't the
propper fit! SO I would have to say this was the HARDEST
of all!!!!

more puzzles on the ceiling, I have a large variety,
theres no theme! Here you can see we covered the heat duct,
pipes are encased in wood then puzzled to complete!
more hard puzzles

There is quite a few Anne Geddes puzzles on there...

Heres a spot that needs wood strips yet....

I did NOT have a hand in the cherry
pie puzzle, No way! Dad and brother Evan did this one! Thank

Now you ask How in the world is this project done?
well let me tell you! We grew up as kids with My parents doing this to their basement! They have puzzled their stairway all the way down and after 30+ yrs of doing this project they are not finished as this is a life long hobby! Me on the other hand, well I want everything done yesterday!:) So all you do is hang sheets of wood across the top of the ceiling put your puzzles together like you normally would then glue them with ELMERS glue...this will dry clear! Then you can pick it up a couple hrs later and wala! liquid nail the back of the puzzle and hold in place for a couple min. This will give you great strength in your arms!:) Then thats all theres to it! Now in order to get puzzles to fit in perfectly, well you can cut them down to fit. Then you take wood strips and these will frame in these are just nailed in place! This is a very permanent project! BEWARE if you plan to move! So Thats my puzzle ceiling! Have a GREAT monday!!!

Nice! Maybe you will start a trend amongst your readers. I didn't realize your parents needed more puzzles to finish their basement. I always thought it was finished.

Happy New Year to you as well!

Oh my goodness! I have never seen anything like it. I love putting puzzles together. This is just amazing. It would have been cool if you would have kept track of all the hours invested in that ceiling!
