This is so crazy but very true!!!!!
I must say it is quite a Blessing to have my children ride the school bus! I never realized how hard it was / is to pick up 3 kids from 3 different schools at the same time! (sigh) I don't recommend doing this unless you have a game plan...I left at 3:05 (which should have been sooner to wait in the VERY LONG car line) (school is out at 3:15)to pick up Jelena at Pleasant. She was not out waiting on me and this was already making me nervous as by the time I got up there from waiting in the long car line she was no where to be seen. Well she was inside keeping Dry, (remind you it was POURING down rain! )Well the lady on duty called her on the speaker, so good here she comes!!! So then 1 kid down 2 more to go, I went to the Main street school and couldn't see Adam anywhere! I never just pick him up, so I told him wait for me in the front! He said ok, Of course By the time I got Jelena and got to the school it was like 3:35? So I told Jelena I got to get Kedric! Can you please get out of the car and look for Adam I will then go get Kedric (his school is farthest!)( His school even called my work asking for me and I don't even work on fridays),Then I will come back and pick you 2 up ok? PLEASE?! She said ok...So I DASH over to maplehurst...Poor Kedric waiting on me in the pouring down rain didn't think I was coming so they sat him in the office soaked by the time I got there....ok Come on Kedric hurry up, we got to pick Jelena and Adam up...So we get back in the car drive to Main Street school and I finally see Jelena...Where's Adam I asked her? She said, "you are not going to believe this, but he rode the bus"....I said," WHAT? "I told him AND I called the school" for reminders to all of them, Well Jelena searched the school and got a quick tour BTW, seen his classroom, so nice, and the teachers called the bus and turns out since he DIDN'T see me he hopped on the bus and they said they would drop him off at Pleasant! So here we again , in the pouring down rain I found Adam... Now WHY on earth did I pick these Children up? Well they hate riding the bus, Though they have no idea what a long boring bus ride is...I rode the bus 13 yrs counting Kindergarten and I lived out in the boon docks. Took like 1 hr to get home daily AND... but anyways we won't go there...So I promised them I would, of course I can't promise 1 and not the others...SO there just will be no more pick ups unless we have an important Dr. appt etc...So doesn't that sound exciting? well I was wore out more like it! So that was pretty sad by the time I got all the kids here comes the Bus, beating me home. So Thank GOODNESS for school busses. Am I spelling it right?I been out of school too long!

Oh My Gosh...won't be doing that again...will you?
It's sounds kind of complicated having to pick your kids up at individual schools.. I remember when I lived in Norwalk I rode the bus all the way up to 9th grade then they made highschoolers walk to school. It didn't matter how far you lived...
That is sooo why Ethan has to walk to school! (With me or his dad of course- and right now we live a block from the school;) I refuse to spend half my day waiting in car lines! As someday mine will all be in different schools too. they will just have to deal...
