Kedric is in OT Again this year OT means OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY besides being diagnosed with ADHD means ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER he struggles with certain activities. These photos were taken last friday at the hospital. These 2 wonderful ladies have been in Kedric's life for at least 3 yrs now! He is 6...He has JUST started for another year of help. This was a 1st day back since he was recieving a little help in school. This day was a little evaluation to see where we have come and where we need to go with him. Here he is working with Monica as a little test to see how fast he can put all the pegs in the slot with 1 hand then take them out and Vice Versa with the other hand. He did great! They also wanted to see if he had gotten any better with a hand full of coins putting them in the slot. Doing this with 1 hand is still very hard for him. he has a hard time manipulate those fingers...So this will be worked on.
What else they asked me, Do I want accomplished? TYING SHOES! Please help him tie shoes!
I purchased way back a cute little shoe book that you can practice on. but since these dissabilities he does NOT want to do anything I ask or show or tell him so we struggle. So for 30-45 min a week I am so greatful for the help he recieves here...
Now this was quite exciting! They have all kinds of fun therapy tools that are down right fun! This was brand new and Kedric has gotten to be the very 1st kid on it so they asked to take a photo of him climbing....so cool! This is a great tool for them to have. How fun!

The drums?? My oldest son played them for a very short time. My ears couldn't take it! The youngest wants to now, if we do let him, it will be electric drums all the way! LOL Great Feast!

That's wonderful that Kedric is getting such good help with his OT and PT. It can do wonders for kids and make them happier with themselves and proud of themselves when they accomplish things. Good job Mom for doing this! I loved your Thursday 13, good things to think about and put into practise. Also LOVE the zebra picture, what a hoot!!!!! I thought of you today, I was at the mall for a few minutes and saw a shirt with a palm tree on it!

That is cool things they got there for OT an PT..I don't think we have something like that here. My son had stopped seeing a Speech Therapist since she had migrated. The only one available now is in General Hospital; the queue is very long. I don't know if I should send him over, he still talks baby language (most of the time) even though he's going to be 5 this year. The previous one said it takes time and I can do it myself with patience. Uuurrgghh..
