FAITH-LIFT FRIDAY

Never would I ever in my lifetime think I would own a dog! All I can say is it HAS to be GOD!!!!
My SIL has 3 kinds of Cancer at the age of 39. She has asked my DH her brother to take the dog, So we talked about it and I could not say YES but could not say NO. So I prayed about it and asked God to change my heart to adapt! My DH drove almost 2 hrs with the kids to get her while I was at work. And then well now here we are! After expensive visits to the groomers, getting supplies, physicals dog tags, rabies shots etc etc. she has warmed her way into our hearts! I have had cats growing up but we have never had dogs so this is all so new to me! I never been much of a dog lover in general and have no clue what kind is what, but I do know we have a Beagle and she is VERY good, PRAISE GOD!
and now?
Daily I am brushing her teeth, cleaning her ears, putting ointment on her eyes 3 x a day as she has irritation or allergys, and brushing her hair, (spritzing her with baby powder scent ;))walking her, sigh and the dog hair! This is definitely WORK!!!! my Daughter BEGGED for this moment. and you know how it is mom gets stuck! so we need to work on sharing these duties;) She sleeps with Jelena at night and when we are away she stays in her large cage. she is a good dog! 4 yr old very good dog! But I know this could NEVER happen with out Gods Help!
So Lord thank you for your strength!
Exodus 15:2The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.

You are such a good person to take in the dog!! She sure needed a good home and I'm sure your children will LOVE having a dog around the house! It's a given that MOM will do most of the work, always seems to be that way! With every type of pet! Just be thankful it's not an iguana! That's what my son came home with one day and we ended up with three before all was said and done!! lol!! I actually got to like them and one of them would ride around on my shoulder when I did my cleaning!

Midlife Mom- Yeah I know! We now have 3 pets! I really didn't want any! But of are box turtles and they keep to themselves, but still an added chore to clean the tank out not too often empty water daily and feed em! Fun Fun! I know it could always be worse, After all Adam tells me daily and BEGS me to get him a snake!!!! sigh

I grew up with both dogs and cats. and I like them both.. but I'm not ready for the added responsiblity that comes with a dog. I keep telling the kids maybe after all of them our out of diapers.. but truth be told we are just never home enough for a dog. Dogs need people and we are always on the run away from home and the poor dog would be left along. However we did have a almost two year old male cat at the start of summer and since daddy is such a push over we now have that said two year old cat, PLUS not one, not two but THREE kittens. The kittens we got at 8 weeks old two of them came from the same litter and the next week since the girls each got a kitten Mr Man wanted one also so he came home with an 8 week old kitten form a different town. Think this was the 1st week of July and the 2nd week of July so They are about 3 months old now. They like to pester the older cat, who wasn't very thrilled with sharing his house with 3 playful kittens.

Awww!! What a great person you are! We had a beagle when I was growing up and it was the best dog! I am more of a cat person too, but would someday like a dog I think.

Stop on by, I have another award for you! Have a great weekend!
