Today is my Daughter Jelenas Birthday August 1st! I remember having her 10 years ago...I remember When I was pregnant and telling Dr. K That I wanna girl this time...He looked at me and smiled. Like He could make that happen, lol! Well imagine my excitement when I found out I was actually having a girl! After all it is not right for a beautician to have all boys now is it?
I had 3 brothers no sisters and I wanted to do braids and updos and paint nails and other girly things. Well I got my precious Daughter but she is far from girly! I think she gets more holes in her pants then my 2 boys! But thats what you get for being sandwiched in between 2 boys... 10 yrs ago I was due in the middle of August and mom and dad were going on vacation, so I asked the Dr. about having baby early! Just so I could have my mom with me! I love my mom and could no way have a baby with out her! No offense to my DH, but moms have a way of smoothing the road...She prays, takes descent photos, and VERY encouraging through the whole process...( only nubane medication)Dr. K didnt object to going early since baby 1 was 9lbs 15 oz. I told him I want a baby this time not a toddler. So I was induced 2 weeks early and had my precious baby girl! She was 7lbs 12 oz. We named her Jelena Renee...Jelena means shining light and Renee means reborn...I searched hard to come up with this name and I still love it! (when theres 90 grandchildren in the family you gotta start getting creative;) So here is my now 10 yr old! Jelena is kind, sensitive to others, a helper, and I love her confidence! To my precious Daughter, I love you! Happy Birthday!
Today I am taking her out to lunch ( Friendlys) and shopping for school clothes, then buying her book she wants ( new Harry Potter) evening she wants Tacos, instead of cake her request is this Cheesecake with fresh rasberries. Today will be 90 degrees, hope everyone is enjoying the heat! We may go to the beach for a short bit!

Happy Birthday Jelena! It sounds like a great day for you two. There is just a special bond that mothers and daughters have and life just wouldn't be the same without them. I know our friends with just boys think having a girl would be rough but I love it and we are lucky to have girls and boys!

my 3 older kids are sick they got some sort of tummy bug yesterday that is still lasting today.. UGH.. atleast I don't have to go outside in this hot weather though.
