Seriously Sleep Deprived

OH what a night! I was awakened by my 6 yr old needing a drink at 3am. He wanted milk, I brought him water( good thing too) and he said he didn't feel good . I said What do you mean you don't feel good? I made him go to the bathroom . It's a must after drinking and while he was peeing, he started vomiting. Oh this is NOT good! He is getting more modest so I had to stand outside the door hearing this! All I could think was Are YOU Sick now????
Jelena was vomiting Wednesday and pretty much better thursday, so lovely it is moving down the line I was thinking. So back to bed he goes and I scrub the toilet then back to bed I go. Don't forget I am not one to fall asleep to quickly! So I lay there TRYING to fall asleep. Finally drifting off at 4am it happens again! Only he is still in his bed. How Do I get him to go to the bathroom to do this? Would make for much easier clean up! Ha! So Throw the sheets in the wash, ( which I so happened to have just washed 2 days ago) And now the comforter. ( I love doing laundry at4am,)I made up a nice sleeping area in the bathroom. Back to bed. Finally drifting to sleep, at 5:15am I hear MAJOR vomiting as my name is being called MOM!!! by Kedric... So I say I am coming...I go into the bathroom and it is not kedric but Jelena! What a pathetic sight to have 2 kids at the same time throwing up! It is a first for me! So I tuck 1 child in 1 bathroom and that leaves me with My bathroom to use for the rest of us. So Luckily my kids are not missing school but not a fun way to spend spring Break...So did I get much sleep? It is going to be a long long day! I NEED a starbucks!

Oh man...I've heard of more people with this lately. I used to send my kids back to bed with a large bowl or bucket. Hope that it will be a better day (and night) today.

Yeah I do the bucket thing to. We have a bucket under the sink dedicated to illness ONLY. It has saved me many a clean up. There can still be a *bit* of mess (I won't go into details) but it's much easier on everyone.

Hope everyone feels better and you're able to get some sleep!!

I thought we had gotten past the sick months of winter, but the vomit bug got us too! I've had the double vomiters, myself and it's no fun! Mine were smaller then and I was running through the house like a crazy woman holding one kid in each arm getting puked on! Kind of funny, now:)

I guess I missed out on the double vomiting episodes as I only have one child! I hope everyone is feeling better soon and that YOU get some sleep!

Not fun - we always make our kids lay down with a bucket when they are sick...makes less messes for me to clean up...YUCK!

That is just awful to have two kids sick at the same time and in the middle of the night.

I pray that they feel better soon.
