Girls Night Out

Last Wednesday night My mom Took me to a wonderful Charity event they were having at Kalahari's Nia Center. We had alot of fun and it was a neat experience to go to this! We seen a few people we knew as there was like almost 1300 people there!
It was a cancer awareness event. My mom goes to to Curves and they were highly sponsering it. So she thought that would be something nice the 2 of us could do! Below Is a photo of my mom and I getting a 10 min chair massage, all complimentary. It was wonderful! There was lots of tables set up giving away little things for businesses etc...

Here is a photo of my mom and my aunt ANN( her sister) other wise knows as THE Big pastry chef at Kalahari. My aunt will be famous some day I just know it! She is totally AMAZING at what she does! If you click on her name you will see a magazine called West Shore, This was the septemeber/ october issue. I don't know when she sleeps she works so so hard and it shows!
This is her twin sister! Teresa, she helps her so so much too! I honestly have no idea when these girls sleep! They work so many hours! She does amazing chocolates etc with her! They make a great team!
Each table setting had a beautiful rose made of chocolate, honestly if she hadn't told us this I would not have thought to eat it!
This is one of the Cakes my Aunt made. I almost fainted when she told me she made 145 in 2 days notice! wow! Thats just crazy! She made 4 flavors and honestly I think we got the best! This one was banana cake with banana cream filling in the layers topped with a mocha whipped butter cream frosting! Each piece had its own handmade chocolate ball by her! It was DELICIOUS! We enjoyed conversing with my aunt while we finished eating and the lady next to me wanted someone to cut the cake. No one at our table wanted to cut the cake. When I told her my aunt here made them all she said wow! Have her cut the cake, After I asked her she said absolutely! It was wonderful! The top was slightly crushed peanuts and imported chocolate cocoa... The other ones she made were a yellow cake with rasberry filling, a double chocolate and her signature carrot cake!

My mom and I were excited to get our autographed copy of her in this magazine WEST SHORE
Other things that took place were a silent auction, a live band, a lady magician that was really good and they played the game deal or no deal. It was quite a night!
Why do you think I think my aunt will be famous someday? In some ways she already is...
she has worked with people like
Paula Deen
and last weekend she was at a convention in PA. Other people attending there was The Hardy Boys ( from my era) and John Ashton who simply raved my aunts work was FANTASTIC (only with his accent);) We are so proud of her! This is only the jist of it! Well I think I am getting caught up on all my posts now!
Happy Wednesday to all!

That sounds like a fun event to attend. The massages would have been worth it alone.

Your aunt is very talented - congratulations to be featured in the magazine. That is such an honor.

It sounds as though you aunt is a very accomplished beker, That cake does look yummy and much too pretty to cut!!!! Aren't pastry chefs suppose to weigh 300 lbs???? She is way too tiny.

It sounds like a lovely event.
