Newspaper Tour

Last week My cousin and I took our 3 kids to our local newspaper to get a tour. We had lots of fun seeing how everything worked! Below is a photo of the guy who turned our black and white paper in to color... here it is going over the belt...

So fascinating to see how everything works from 1 machine to the next...

This is quite amazing! You see that big brown tank there? That is filled with INK!

Below is Ron, he is in charge of hiring the carriers. He also was our tour quide!

It was fun to get a different perspective and really "See" how the paper works! They asked me why we were doing this wondering if we had a planned group tour etc? I said no we just thought it would be a fun education to see how the paper is made and my cousin and I really enjoyed it too! If Given the chance you should check out things like this in your area!

Below is a video my son Adam made of our tour...

What a great idea! I've always wanted to know how papers are printed. I hope your kids appreciated your effort :-)
