The Rec Olympics

Today was the Rec Olympics! The 2 younger children seemed excited to do this. Kedric had fun trying, bless his heart. He didn't win any prize ribbons except a green one for participation, but thats ok, he had fun and wants to do it again next year. They did running, obsticle course, and a few more things, below he is throwing... My little man

Jelena was giving it her all for the basket ball throw, she didn't do as well as she would have liked but had fun too none the less, I had to keep reminding her its ok not to win! check her action shots! they did a couple more things then Kedric's age group, she got to even go swimming for hers. She didn't do so well in that but over all I was proud!

GO JELENA GO! Here she is giving it her all, she was so anxious for the running long jump,
At the end of all divisions, she ended up with a 3rd place ribbon from the obstacle course that she did I thought VERY quickly! And a 2nd place ribbon for the running long jump1 YEAH JELENA! I am so happy for her as so many of the same girls were getting the 1st and 2nds, so glad she managed to get some ribbons too....NOW I have some scrapbooking to do...

It has been a busy fun filled day....

Looks like fun! We will have to look into that for next year. Ethan would have fun doing that. I will have to get together with you sometime and maybe you can give me some scrapbooking tips, like where to start?.... I want to start one, for the kids but haven't put forth the effort yet!
Glad you had a nice weekend!

Sounds like you guys had fun! Is the Olympics just for members or can anyone participate? And how is it that the same girls were winning everything? Do they have a league or something?

Oh my...our schools here don't even have gyms (to build schools in rural places is still an expensive issue)! How backward we are..
Your kids are lucky..they seem to really have fun.
