I was actually at my M.O.P.S group at the time ( this is mothers of preschoolers) It was such a shock! They sent us home early and told us to stay put with our children at home! Some of mine were in school and it was quite a shock for all! Though I never knew anyone personally that was in the towers I felt the pain from all the loved ones lost!

It was indeed a day of shock and horror. You point out something a lot of us had in common that day.. Being with our families.
I was in college at the time and our professor also told us to go home for the day.
It was a terrible day and I can't believe that was six years ago. I was pregnant with Garrett. Since I was living near Philly at the time I had two former co-workers that lost family in the buildings.
I had to stay at work that day, but we spent most of it glued to the radio or internet since there was no television. May we never forget those who died and their families and loved ones.
Having your children nearby is a blessing at times like this. And to have a little one, too, that is a special special blessing.
